The Vale Series Reading Order: Azara and Darian’s Road
There are easier roads into a story than one lined with thorns. The Vale has never offered one.
If the new covers drew you in and you are wondering which book opens the gate, begin with Azara Thorn and Darian Ashclaw. Their story unfolds across three published books, in order. The choices they make carry forward, and the road they leave behind leads toward Gareth and Tamlin.
First, Thorns of Ash
Azara escaped the Demon Court with a curse beneath her skin and no intention of kneeling for anyone. When a stolen relic wakes the magic others would kill to possess, she finds a wolf shifter with his own scars standing in her path. Thorns of Ash is where their danger, defiance, and fierce attraction first catch fire. Start here, while neither of them knows how much the Vale will ask them to surrender.

Then, Hunter’s Mark
The power that once made Darian a weapon reaches for him again. He knows what obedience can turn him into, and Azara has no intention of watching someone else claim him. Next, Echoes of the Broken

Beyond the third book
The next story turns toward Gareth and Tamlin. He is the loyal Ashclaw wolf. She is the witch the Vale still calls traitor. They have a history sharp enough to draw blood before either reaches for a blade, and the world they must cross has already been changed by Azara and Darian.
