What’s Next in the Vale: Vow of the Forsaken

Echoes of the Broken left the Vale carrying wounds that refuse to close. The next story belongs to two people who have spent years turning desire into anger because anger asked less of them.

Vow of the Forsaken is Gareth and Tamlin’s story.

Tamlin is the witch the Vale still calls traitor. She survived the Demon Court, then made herself the first lock to save Azara. She escaped, but the lock left its residue inside her: memory, pressure, fear, and a scar where thought should have been.

The Court wants to use that history. Gareth refuses to let it take her.

He should leave Tamlin to judgment. Instead, the loyal Ashclaw wolf crosses every law left standing to reach the woman he wanted long before betrayal gave that wanting a cleaner name.

THE WOUND SHE CARRIES

Tamlin does not hold a map to the Court or a key to Darian. What she carries is the mark of survival. The first lock changed how old magic recognizes her, and the Court believes that wound can be turned into a weapon.

Returning to the places that shaped her will force Tamlin to face more than what was done to her. She must confront the choices she made to survive, the people those choices hurt, and the dangerous possibility that redemption can begin before forgiveness arrives.

PROTECTION WITHOUT POSSESSION

Gareth has spent years holding duty close enough to smother every softer truth. Rescuing Tamlin will demand a different kind of strength.

His oath protects without owning. It can sense the hurt beneath a deliberate lie, but it cannot locate her, compel her, punish her, or bind her will. Every step between them must be chosen.

That choice is the heart of their romance. Gareth must learn that guarding Tamlin does not give him the right to decide for her. Tamlin must decide whether trusting him is surrender or the first freedom she has claimed for herself.

A LOVE CHOSEN IN FULL

Vow of the Forsaken is a dark fantasy romance shaped by enemies-to-lovers tension, a dangerous rescue, forced proximity, redemption under fire, and devotion that refuses to become another cage.

Their love is built through truth, consent, and action. Desire may have survived the years between them, but desire alone cannot heal what betrayal broke. Gareth and Tamlin will have to choose each other in private, in danger, and before the people who remember every reason they should stand apart.

The Vale has never made love easy. This time, love must be brave enough to leave both of them free.

Some vows are spoken in love. Others are carved from betrayal.

What would pull you deeper into the Vale: the loyal wolf who crosses every law to reach her, or the witch who must decide whether survival can become a life?
